Donetsk militants announce halt to POW swap
(UNIAN)  --- An exchange of prisoners of war (POW) has been suspended until four ad hoc groups for the implementation of the Minsk agreements have been formed.
This was announced by one of the leaders of the Donetsk People's Republic Denis Pushilin at recent talks of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, militants' information outlet said.
"The exchange of captives needs to be halted until an official decision on the personal composition of all four ad hoc groups for the implementation of the Minsk agreements has been made," he said.
According to Pushilin, there should be four such groups: one for economy and rebuilding, the second for internally displaced persons and humanitarian aid, the third for constitutional reform and elections, and the fourth for security. The exchange of prisoners could become the responsibility of the IDPs and humanitarian aid group. The group could help settle differences in quantities and procedure of the POW swap.

Six Ukrainian Soldiers Killed In East Ukraine
(RFE/RL) --- Six Ukrainian soldiers were killed on April 5 in the east of the country in two separate incidents as the conflict in eastern Ukraine entered its second year.
The Interior Ministry said a military vehicle was hit as it drove across a bridge in Schastye, a government-held town about 170 kilometers northeast of the city of separatist-held Donetsk.
The ministry accused Russian-backed separatists of firing the shell, but that report could not be independently confirmed.
It said initial reports showed "militants had fired a laser-guided antitank missile."
Ukraine's antiterrorism center has identified all four of the servicemen, adding that they came from the Kharkiv region.
The information center for the so-called Luhansk People's Republic denied reports its forces were involved.
The pro-Russian separatists claimed the Ukrainian military vehicle hit a landmine placed on the bridge by Ukrainian forces.
In a separate incident less than an hour later, a Ukrainian military vehicle hit a landmine near the town of Shyrokyne, east of the city of Mariupol, killing two servicemen and wounding one other.
The previous day, the government reported the deaths of another three soldiers when a mine exploded near the town of Avdiyivka, a government-held town north of Donetsk.
The fatalities were the first announced by the authorities in almost a week after the death of a Ukrainian army soldier reported on March 30.
The deaths have underscored the fragility of a cease-fire in force since February, when it was brokered by leaders from Ukraine, Russia, Germany, and France.
Both sides in conflict have accused the other of violations since the cease-fire went into effect.
Some 6,000 people have been killed since fighting broke out between pro-Russian separatists and the Ukrainian government a year ago.

National Guard purchased Shrek (Bloody Pastor) armoured vehicle.
(Censor.NET) --- New Shrek cargo armoured vehicle to begin service at the National Guard of Ukraine.
This was announced by Censor.NET Editor-in-Chief Yurii Butusov on his Facebook page.
Today I took a picture of an amusing detail at the exhibition of military equipment in Novi Petrivtsi village. The National Guard has purchased a new Shrek armoured vehicle which has the letters "KP" written and some red drops painted on its shell. There was a paper sheet with some writing near the vehicle. I asked Arsen Avakov what it means. And he said that the vehicle should have a name and that those are some options listed, so that the country's leaders adopt one of the abbreviations. He was serious about it. I found the second abbreviation, as well as the last one, written in small print under the bottom line, funny (Kondyterska Productsiya (Confectionery products) and Krovavyi Pastor (Bloody Pastor). However, I did not witness the leaders' reaction since I did not want to stay in the crowd, so I do not know which version of the KP abbreviation has been approved. All the Ukrainian leadership tested new machine guns and rifles at the landfill. "KP" also fired from a heavy machine gun," he writes
