Shyrokyne to become demilitarized zone - Lysenko
   KIEV, April 16 (Ukrinform). --- Decision on the demilitarization of the village of Shyrokyne, located on the contact line at Mariupol direction, was adopted on Thursday.
   Spokesman for the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine Andriy Lysenko said this at a briefing in Kiev, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
   "The idea of the demilitarization of the village of Shyrokyne occurred some time ago ... It was decided to demilitarize this area, taking into account that Ukrainian military did not use their heavy equipment and armament (it has been already withdrawn from there), but militants continued to fire at our positions with mortars, 122mm grenade launchers, etc.," he said.
   According to Lysenko, the decision was taken because of militant's constant attacks on the Ukrainian positions in Shyrokyne, and the aftermath of ATO forces' fighting with subversive groups trying to use the buildings and other structures of the village.
   "The process has started. Everything began with words, ideas, visiting the village, but when we saw that there was destruction due to confrontation, it was decided to make Shyrokyne a demilitarized zone," he said.
   Lysenko also stressed that the demilitarization will be conducted with the help of international observers.

OSCE reports thousands of explosions near Donetsk airport
   KIEV, April 16 (Ukrinform). --- Over the last day, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) has observed a number of violations of the truce, mainly in the area of the Donetsk airport, as well as near the settlements of Avdiyivka, Pisky and Spartak.
   Spokesperson for the OSCE SMM to Ukraine Michael Bociurkiw said this at a briefing in Kiev on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
   "There were hundreds of explosions heard by our observers from the both sides [near the Donetsk airport]. Yesterday there were more than 500 explosions, the day before yesterday - more than 700. Considering the previous days, there are thousands of explosions, because the intensity of shelling is very high," he said.
   According to him, anti-aircraft machine guns, heavy machine guns, small arms, mortars, artillery and even tanks are used in violations of the ceasefire.
   At the same time, Bociurkiw said the intensity of confrontation near the settlement of Shyrokyne reduces, but the humanitarian situation there continues to worsen, because of the lack of drinking water, food, medicine and electricity.
   He noted that the SMM observers continue to inspect heavy weapons holding areas.
   "And I can say that not all previously observed weapons remain in their positions," he said.

Russian military from 99th brigade for logistical support of Russian army at Donbas Arena stadium in Donetsk. PHOTOS
   (Censor.NET) --- A page of a Russian military from the 99th brigade for logistical support ( military unit #72153, Maykop, Adygea) of the 49th army of the South military district has been identified along with a picture made at the Donetsk Shakhtar stadium as a result of OSINT investigation.
   As reported by Censor.NET, investigative blogger Iraklii Komakhidze wrote about it for Informnapalm.
   "According to the social network profile's information (personal data, photos, contacts, and geotags) of the Russian military from the 99th brigade for logistical support Alexey Chikhuta, his subdivision from Maykop checked in at the Oktiabrskiy and Kamenskiy districts of the Rostov region and at the Donbas Arena stadium of Donetsk as well. Most of slides were uploaded in early April, the images supposedly show events of the last two months," Komakhidze says.

   The material shown confirms earlier information that the subdivision of the 99th brigade together with other Russian logistical units is actively involved in transportation of military cargo to the Donbas.
   Reference: the 99thseparate brigade for logistical support of the 49th combined arms army of the South military district - military unit #72153, Maykop city, Adygea, was formed in the end of 2010, possibly consisting of:
   - 474th motor battalion (military unit #33027, the Rostov region, Millerovo);
   - 293rd separate motor battalion (military unit #46027, the Rostovy region, Novocherkassk);
   - 76th separate repair and reconstruction battalion (complex repair; military unit #23286, Krasnodarskiy Kray, Slaviansk-na-Kubani city);
   - 35th separate water delivery motor company (military unit #83110, Adygea, Maykop city);
   -132nd separate refueling company (military unit #85945, Adygea, Maykop city).
   The brigade's main tasks are logistical and rear provision of military compounds and military units of the 49th army. It also includes organization of transportation of equipment, weapons and ammunition; provision of timely replenishment of costs and loss of reserves of material resources; replenishment of weapons and military equipment; organization of nutrition and bath and laundry service; water supply, etc.
   "Suggested that the 99th logistical brigade conducts logistical and rear support of military formations and military units, it is logical to search for this army in the Donetsk region," one of commentators notes.

Ukraine activists develop fabrics invisible to heat detectors
   (Zik) --- Apr. 15, activists in Kiev showcased special uniforms that make servicemen invisible to heat detectors, ZIK reports.
   The activists include former officers from Kiev, Kharkiv and Luhans who united in “Glory to Ukraine” NGO.
   The uniforms are made from multi-layer fabrics – better and much cheaper than similar fabrics developed in the USA, Germany and Russia, they say.
   The first invisible uniforms have already been tested in Donbas.
   Tents made from this fabrics make tanks and other heavy weapons invisible to radars.
   Mass production of the fabrics will be launched first by the activists. Later on, they plan to get the funding by the army.
