"This could turn into a full continental war" - Turchynov on Russia’s resumption of military actions in Donbas
(Censor.NET) --- The resumption of active hostilities in the East of Ukraine by Russia may lead to the start of a continental war.
This was stated by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov during the VIII Kiev Security Forum on Thursday, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"We must clearly understand that if hostilities resumed, it will be at a higher and more dangerous level, these hostilities could escalate into a full continental war," Turchynov said.
He stressed that Russia continues to accumulate armed forces at the border with Ukraine and in Crimea to eliminate the Minsk agreement and start military actions at any moment.
Earlier, Turchynov stated that Putin was trying to hide the direct participation of Russian military and its losses in the war against Ukraine in the Donbas.

Putin is trying to hide direct involvement of Russian military and their losses in Donbas - Turchynov
(Censor.NET) --- Putin is trying to hide the direct participation of the Russia’s soldiers and its losses in the war against Ukraine waged in the Donbas.
This was stated by Secretary of the National Security Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov commenting on the Putin's Presidential Decree on classifying data on losses of the Russian army in peace time, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Council.
According to him, in any regular country, "where the citizens are treated with respect this would have been impossible." "This is a clumsy attempt to hide what the whole world already knows about - the war that Russia is waging against our country," he said.
"This is a sign of disrespect and contempt for its own military, who were first forced to fight against Ukrainians, and then secretly buried in unmarked graves. It is also a manifestation of an open disregard for the families who having lost their breadwinners, stay powerless and helpless in Russia," Turchynov summed up.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin classified information about casualties among servicemen of the Defense Ministry during special operations in peacetime.

Ukrainian soldiers engaged in three firefights with terrorists last night. The enemy was forced to flee - ATO press center
(Censor.NET) --- The evening and night of May 27 were pretty much like the previous nights - restless. The invaders continued shelling the positions of the Ukrainian troops at different directions.
This is reported by Censor.NET citing the press center of the ATO.
"The modern barbarians concentrated most of their artillery fire at the Donetsk direction, shelling Pisky, Taramchuk, Berezove, and Marinka. Grenade launchers were used against Opytne, Novotroitske, and Butivka mine. Heavy machine guns were used against Avdiivka," the report says.
According to the headquarters, a clash with an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group took place near Berezove last night. The criminals also used Grad multiple rocket launchers in the area.

Presidential Administration confirms militants’ artillery strike on Horlivka
(Censor.NET) --- Information concerning the shelling of Horlivka in the Donetsk region committed by the militants has been confirmed.
Presidential Administration spokesperson on ATO issues Oleksandr Motuzianyk said on the air of Channel 5, Censor.NET reports citing RBC-Ukraine.
"Information regarding the shelling of Horlivka conducted by the militants has been confirmed. This is not an isolated case when we see them (the militants - Ed.) deliberately shelling towns and villages they temporarily control. These actions are aimed to put blame on the Ukrainian servicemen which is untrue. Their another goal is to destroy the infrastructure there as much as possible to have reasons to justify the future so-called humanitarian convoys arriving to the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine from the Russian Federation," Motuzianyk said.
He also noted that the situation has deteriorated at the Luhansk direction in recent days.
"Apparently, the militants consider this direction one of the most promising. The militants keep shelling our positions in this area almost along the entire line of contact. If one takes a look at the map, it's the villages of Syze, Zolote, Popasna, Shchastia, and Stanytsia Luhanska. They are basically using small arms, grenade launchers and the weapons banned by the Minsk agreements there, in particular, 120-mm mortars. The attacks with the use of tanks and anti-aircraft guns were recorded as well," the presidential administration representative said.
