New Polish president’s policy toward Ukraine won’t change, Polish media
(Zik) --- The defeat of Bronislaw Komorowski in the presidential election won’t lead to any significant changes in Ukraine-Poland relations, Polish Radio says March 25.
The Polish president has a very limited influence on the country’s foreign policy, and won’t press for any radical changes.
“The victory of Andrzej Duda is unlikely to affect Poland’s foreign policy for the next months. Till November, the present Premier Ewa Koparz will remain in office and the foreign ministry will be run by Grzegorz Schetyna,” publicist Lucas Yasyna says.
“Sometimes, Duda was even a stronger supporter of Ukraine than Komorowski,” he says
