US-Ukraine Navy exercise commences in Black Sea.

    (Censor.NET) --- The Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Ross (DDG 71) kicks off a two-day underway exercise with the Ukrainian navy Frigate Hetman Sahaidachnyi (U 130), June 1, 2015.
   This is reported by Censor.NET citing the press service of the U.S. 6th Fleet.
   "The purpose of Ross' presence in the Black Sea is to reassure NATO allies and regional partners of the United States' commitment to working closely with them to enhance maritime security and stability in the region," the statement notes.
   Cmdr. Tadd Gorman, Commanding Officer, USS Ross (DDG 71) stated: "Working with our partners in the Black Sea helps build greater regional awareness. Naval exercises with partners like Ukraine allow us to increase our joint capabilities and interoperability. As always, their conduct was very professional, and working with them today made our relationship stronger."
