(Censor.NET) --- Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov has outlined the main threats to the state and the priorities of domestic and foreign policyin a draft national security strategy developed by the NSDC.

According to Turchynov, "Ukraine's main foreign policy priority is to deepen the strategic partnership with the United States as a guarantor of international security in the Euro-Atlantic space." "Ukraine is committed to developing relationships and partnerships with the United Kingdom, Poland, as well as Canada, Australia, Japan, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Romania, Moldova, Georgia - the states which Ukraine considers its reliable allies. The partnership with Germany and France, EU Member States and NATO, which provide substantial assistance to Ukraine, are also a priority," NSDC Secretary said.

UN may suffer League of Nations fate - Ukrainian diplomat
KIEV, April 9 (Ukrinform). --- UN may repeat the fate of the League of Nations, as by using veto at the UN Security Council it is possible to block the resolution of any conflict.
Ukraine's Ambassador to the UN Yuriy Sergeyev said this in an interview with Ukrayinska Pravda news website.
"The drama dramatics of the situation are that voting is needed to designate Russia as a side to the conflict, while Russia is set to apply its right of veto. Thus, there is an effect of double veto," he said.
Sergeyev said that this had happened before, regarding various countries: "That is why the need for reform of the Security Council is absolutely clear. Otherwise, any conflict, any aggression will be blocked because of such casuistry."
"No conflict can be stopped, if someone apply veto. The UN will either get out of this crisis with dignity if it manages to amend its Charter and procedures, or suffer the same fate as the League of Nations. Let me remind: the latter was designed to ensure peace and stability, but was unable to avert World War II with the tools it had at disposal," he said.
"In the end, collective self-defense against fascism won the war and the winners decided to create a new League of Nations named the United Nations," Sergeyev explained.
At the same time, he reminded that there is popular idea of the French president in the UN - not to use the veto in conflict situations, when there is bloodshed and a threat to human life: "the French President has made such an amendment. But it is not supported by all among the permanent members of the Security Council, not only by Russia."
The League of Nations was established in 1920 to promote cooperation, peace and security among the nations. However, due to the inability to prevent the World War Ineko-Invest, it was disbanded in 1946.

Ukraine is at war. It is impossible not to see tanks and APCs of the aggressor in Donbas - Komorowski in Rada
(Censor.NET) --- Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski condemned the Russian aggression and marked the feat of Ukrainian soldiers giving their lives for the future of their homeland.
In his speech in front of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada he noted that Poland is landing its willing hand to Ukraine and should do everything to ensure that other nations of the Western world do the same, Censor.NET reports.
The president of Poland said that his visit takes place in difficult times for Ukraine. "Ukraine is in a state of war ... We meet at a time when the Russian aggression is trying to deprive Ukraine of its right to self-determination, the right to choose its own path," he said.
Komorowski noted the importance of the Revolution of Dignity, which took place in Ukraine in late 2013-early 2014. "The EU cannot forget the sacrifice of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes," he said, adding that Euromaidan activists who came out to the streets defended European values and the right to become part of the EU. He also emphasized that stability in Europe is only possible when Ukraine becomes a part of European Union, and expressed hope that Ukraine will fulfill a number of requirements to do this.
"When sons of Ukraine are dying in the East, they also defend Europe ... The Western World must understand that it will only be safe when it is safe in Ukraine," Komorowski said, adding that today only the blind cannot see Russia's participation in the conflict in the Donbas.
"It is impossible not to see the tanks and armoured personnel carriers of the aggressor in Ukraine," he said indignantly.
According to Komorowski, the EU will never recognize the criminal changing of borders, which Russia went for against the wishes of Ukrainians.
